SKETCH always recommends to keep updating yourself with the current exhibitions, especially when they’re free and fantastically inspiring like this exhibition currently showing at the V&A. It is only small but holds a whole host of inspirational design & products.

While you’re there why not also check out the Postmodernism exhibition and soak up some of the beautiful shops & cafes in the area of South Kensington.

Freelance designers wanted at Collecting Colour

Collecting Colour is a highly creative textile studio based in NYC that is looking for talented print and embellishment designers to join the team. You will need to produce original artwork for the collections based around seasonal concepts and inspiration whilst keeping in the Collecting Colour style. Designers would work on a freelance basis but be able to dedicate 2/3 days a week on designs.

Graduate Designer of the Month – Laura Childs

SKETCH designer of the month – Laura Childs who graduated from University of Worcester.

The SKETCH team thought her images were striking! We were impressed with the beautiful colours and illustration techniques. We spotted her on Artsthread and thought she was super talented.

Freelance Textile Design position available for Menswear

Skills and attributes required:

• Must have the ability to work to tight deadlines and be capable of working to a wide variety of different briefs
• Be a confident user of CAD, proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator, should be able to put work into repeat and work with different composition layouts
